Ahsan Javaid explores the intersection and evolution of storytelling, Using his respective painting and drawing practices to evoke competing narratives, Javaid finds a visual language to express the way that stories layer on top of each other. Grand narratives inform private moments, and competing experiences of the world shuffle between each other. In Javaid's paintings, the trace of one moment hovers at the surface of another, giving new meaning to the more visible composition.

Ahsan Javaid (b. 1992) graduated in Fine Arts (Painting)
from National College of Arts, Lahore in 2015. He is a resident artist
at studio RM and teaches drawing as well. Ahsan has also been awarded
with Arjumand Painting award 2021. He has been exhibiting his work in
various shows around Pakistan, most recently Sanat Initiative in
Karachi. Javaid lives and works in Lahore, Pakistan.
