In The Messenger II, Ramakrishnan paints the spectral heads of various animals–an elephant, an ox, a wolf, a lion among others–emerging from an androgynous figure in a meditative posture. Through this vibrant image, Sahana conveys the rich mythological nature of one’s inner life.
