Bokhari brings her practice into three dimensions with an accompanying sculpture. In resin and ceramics, Bokhari finds a new method to explore the grid and water schema of her canvas work. Translating these motifs into the tile and water of a fountain structure, distorted hands emerge from the sculpture, a dreamlike emergence of something otherworldly from a more familiar structure. The stretched and undulating fingers and palms both invite and menace the viewer, suggesting a something inscrutable and intriguing just below the surface.
